Host Construction’s owner, Paul Host, truly believes that the feelings of awe and respect one gets from looking at turn of the century architecture are still attainable. Builders of the past poured their hearts into their work and celebrated each project’s unfolding to its full potential. Each craftsman on the project carried in himself individually what the builder represented corporately, knowing that the builder was a highly respected tradesman himself (as he almost always was), and each gave his all. The end result was timeless, and here in Montana we can still be awed by the majestic character of the homes and barns of old.

We have available to us unbelievable resources in the construction industry through technology, and it is the discerning builder who can utilize what is available in the industry today without sacrificing the project’s character. Expertise, efficiency, and understanding expressed through the builder’s integrity are the ingredients that will bridge the span between homes and barns built today and the projects of old. One might notice Paul at the end of each day brushing the dirt off his hands as he glances back towards the project, taking in the pleasure brought on as the project’s character unfolds.
